The Tenets of Our Faith

THE BIBLE

We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is infallible in its declaration, final in its authority, all-sufficient in its provisions, and comprehensive in its sufficiency.
(2 Tim 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

THE TRUE GOD

We believe in the divine existence of One True God. Elohim, maker of the Whole universe; indefinable, but revealed as Triune Godhead - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - One in nature, essence, and attributes; Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent.
(Gen. 1:1, 26, Matt 3:16-17, 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14)

MAN'S DEPRAVED NATURE

We believe that “all men have sinned and come short of God’s glory” are subject to eternal punishment, and need repentance and regeneration. (Gen. 3:1-19, Isa 53:6)

THE SAVIOR

We believe that man’s need of a savior has been met in the person of Jesus Christ, because of His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, resurrection, and ascension; His abiding intercession and second coming. (Matt 1:21, John 4:42, 8:46, 14:30, Acts 2:36, Rom 3:25, 2 Cor. 5:19, Eph. 5:23, Phil 2:6-11, 1Thess. 4:16-17, Rev 22:20)

REPENTANCE, JUSTIFICATION, AND SANCTIFICATION

We believe all men have to repent of and confess their sins before God, and believe in the vicarious death of Jesus Christ to be justified before God. We believe in the believer's sanctification through the working of the Holy Spirit and in God’s gift of eternal life to the believer. (Luke 15:7, Acts 2:38, Rom. 4:25, 5:16, 1 Cor. 1:30, 1Thess. 4:3)

THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM AND OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

We believe in the sacrament of Baptism by immersion as a testimony of a convert who has attained a responsible age of 15 years. (Luke 3:21, Mark 16:16) Infants and children are not baptized but are dedicated unto the Lord. (Luke 2:22-24, Mark 10:16) We believe in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper which should be partaken of by all members who are in full fellowship. (Matt. 26:21-29, Mark 16:16, Luke 22:19-20)

NEXT LIFE

We believe in the Resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; they that are saved to the resurrection of life and the unsaved to the resurrection of damnation
(Dan. 12:2, John 5:28-29, Acts 1:11, 10:42; Rom. 2:7-9, 1 John 1:2)

TITHES, OFFERINGS, ANNUAL HARVEST & FIRST FRUIT

We believe in tithing, first fruit, mid-year & annual harvest, and the giving of free-will offerings towards the cause of carrying forward the kingdom of God. We believe that God blesses a cheerful giver
(Deut 16:16, Prov 3:9, Mal. 3:6-10, Luke 6:38, Acts 20:35, Heb. 7:1-4)

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that the healing of sickness and disease is provided for God’s people in the atonement. (Isa 53:4-5, Matt 8:7, 17, Mark 16:18, Luke 13:10-16, James 5:16-18). Christ Pentecostal International Church is NOT opposed to seeking medical attention from qualified medical practitioners.
